Qué es, en dos líneas

Sound Tools es un afinador, un metrónomo y un analizador de sonido en una sola app para iPhone, iPad y Apple Watch. Funciona sin cuenta y sin conexión: el audio se procesa en el dispositivo y no se graba ni se envía a ningún servidor.

• La app del Apple Watch funciona sola. No es un mando a distancia del iPhone: el afinador, el metrónomo, el setlist y el medidor de nivel corren en el reloj, con su micrófono, con el teléfono apagado en otra habitación. Y hay complicación, así que el afinador se abre desde la esfera sin pasar por la lista de apps.
• El metrónomo del reloj marca el pulso con vibración, que es lo único que se percibe en un ensayo cuando el altavoz ya no se oye.
• El analizador dice cuánta certeza tiene. Detecta tonalidad y acordes, y cuando no está seguro lo dice, en vez de escribir un acorde inventado.
• Ocho timbres de metrónomo, con la sonoridad igualada, porque un clic que se parece al instrumento que tocas desaparece justo cuando hace falta.
• Está traducida entera a seis idiomas. No es la ficha traducida y la app en español: cada texto de cada pantalla, incluidos los nombres de escalas, acordes y timbres, y lo que lee el lector de pantalla.
• El audio no sale del dispositivo. No hay cuenta, no hay servidor y no hay nada que registrar.

Sound Tools is a tuner, a metronome and a sound analyzer in a single app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. It works with no account and no connection: audio is processed on device and is never recorded or sent to any server.

What sets it apart: the Apple Watch app is standalone — tuner, metronome, setlist and level meter run on the watch, with the watch's own microphone, with the iPhone left at home, and there is a watch face complication. The watch metronome beats through haptics, which is the only thing you still perceive in a loud rehearsal. And the analyzer reports its own confidence: when it isn't sure about a chord, it says so instead of printing a confident wrong answer.

The whole app is localised into English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French and Italian — every screen, including scale, chord and click names, and what the screen reader announces. Not just the store listing.
